 Basic Hula Hooping for Beginners
How to Hula Hoop -
The first thing to do is place the Hula Hoop around your waist.  Stand up straight with your feet apart and you knees slightly bent.  Hold the Hula Hoop with both hands and place it around your waist and against your back.  Twirl the Hula Hoop in a counterclockwise motion with your hands and let go.  Continue to swing your hips in the circular motion steadily, and the Hula Hoop should spin around just above your hips.  Keep your swinging steady.  To keep it going for a long time will take some practice, but keep practicing and you'll have it down in no time!
Around the Knees -
After you have learned how to Hula Hoop, you can try keeping the Hula Hoop twirling around your knees.  To begin, stand straight and place the hoop at your knees, just so it is touching the back of your knees.  Give the Hula Hoop a twirl and spread your arms out for balance.  Move your knees back and forth in a circular motion to keep it going.
Multiple Hoops -
After you have gotten very good with basic Hula Hooping, you can try to keep more than one hoop going at one time.  Do just as described in the "How to Hula Hoop" section above, only with more than one hoop.  On your first try, only try two Hula Hoops, then advance to three after you can successfully keep two going, and so on.  Don't expect to do many Hula Hoops right away; it takes lots of practice!  Keep practicing and soon you will be able to keep more than one Hula Hoop going!
